SeaFeast chef walk-about followed by dinner aboard CatalystAn intimate, chef-led festival walkthrough followed by dinner aboard Washington’s famed historic wooden small ship, Catalyst.
Step into Bellingham SeaFeast with all your senses. Join our chef onboard for afternoon refreshment followed by a stroll through the festival’s working waterfront, meeting local fishers as the chef selects the freshest ingredients of the day.
The chef will then head back to the galley to begin preparing the market delights, while you enjoy the festival afternoon at your leisure before heading back to the 1932 vintage small ship for an intimate, 12-guest multi-course dinner created with market finds in the ships open galley. From dock to galley to plate, this is an immersive celebration of the Pacific Northwest’s bounty—served in the warm glow of a historic yacht at the heart of the harbor.

Dockside tour of Catalyst
The University of Washington's 1st Research VesselDuring SeaFeast Saturday, the historic wooden vessel Catalyst will be open for public tours at the dock. Built in 1932 as the University of Washington’s first oceanographic research vessel, she carries nearly a century of maritime history.
Visitors are invited to explore her cozy interiors, browse the onboard naturalist library, read her one-of-a-kind history book, and hear the original Washington-Estep diesel engine roar to life.
Come walk the decks, breathe in her heritage, and experience firsthand the ship that pioneered research in the Pacific Northwest.
